Integrated Pest Management
IPM Team Initiative Priorities for 2007-2008

The research and extension priorities for IPM in Oklahoma were selected by our IPM Initiative team.  They are a subset of the Regional priorities established by the Southern Region IPM Center.

These priorities will used by the Southern Region IPM Center to evaluate requests for funding, planning research and extension programs and addressing “real world” needs.

Research Priorities (Ranked)
1. Vector/Virus management of crops
2. IPM at home-inside / outside (landscape, community)
3. Development of decision aids for management of pests for all crops.

Extension Priorities (Ranked)
1. Develop interactive web-based educational resources for County Extension Educators
2. Deploy multi-disciplinary regional IPM programs for Oklahoma Crops
3. Develop Usable tools to measure adoption/impact of IPM
4. Develop future IPM professionals, including university students
5. Develop home/landscape IPM resources in Spanish/English
