- Management, marketing, on-farm processing and farm policy decision information for small and part-time farm operators.
- Information and decision aids for large-scale commercial operators such as analysis of input risk and available field days.
- Improved decision aids for agribusiness managers such as business structure, regulatory analysis and issues unique to the emerging biofuel industries.
- Information and decision aids for the evaluation of alternative crops and enterprises and producer investment in value-added projects.
- Information for non-traditional farm managers including women and minority managers.
- Further research on whole farm management, encompassing crops, livestock, and environmental/conservation practices.
- Determine the effect of changes in consumer demand, technology, and agricultural and food policy on profitability of farms and agribusinesses.
